Who doesn’t love a good cat eye? It can take a look from ‘girl next door’ to ‘sexy and mysterious’ in just two flicks. Well, more that two flicks for me, as I’m not one of those people who can apply a cat eye with ease. Thankfully I was lucky enough to be sent the new Maybelline Curvitude liner to review and it’s upped my game.
Maybelline Curvitude Liner – Packaging
Firstly, how cute is the packaging? It’s presented in a sleek, smooth pen that has a curve that makes it easier to control application. It feels nice and robust and the lid stays on firmly, which is a must if you’re popping it in your bag, right ladies?
Maybelline Curvitude Liner – Product
This is one of those felt tip applicators that can go oh so wrong! The great thing about this one is that the nib is so small and fine, but it’s not so thin that it wobbles around as some tend to do. Applying it using the side gives you a nice thin line on the top of your lid. The tip allows you to create that fine tip that we all strive for.
Black is a true dark black and dries to a deep matte that you can see in the swatch below. Please forgive my wrinkly skin – you can see it wasn’t really the right place to swatch it lol.
Maybelline Curvitude Liner – Results
I was really happy with the Maybelline Curvitude Liner. It’s quickly become a staple in my kit. It was easy to apply and lasted all day on me. That’s even with the heat and humidity we’re experiencing right now. It didn’t break up and it didn’t run down my face (I won’t go on about how sweaty I was, but trust me, it stayed ON).
I found that because the nib was so fine, I could also using it between my lashes to make them look a little more full.
In the look below, I applied super quickly before work. I was wearing a look from the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette with a full gold shimmer on the lids. My lids aren’t the smoothest in the world and having the shimmer on made it a little more difficult to get a smooth line, but I was happy with the final result.
