I haven’t done an empties post for a while, but I’ve been keeping them all aside for you.
Most of these are skincare related – which is not much of surprise as you already know much I love skincare and bodycare!
Starting with the feature image above we have:
Antipodes Anti Ageing Minis – I love these products! I’ve already repurchased some more. These little minis pack a powerful punch especially with the Night version that I chose. It feature a small bottle of Joyous Protein Rich Night Replenish Oil and a small tube of Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream.
Natio Ageless Moisturiser SPF30 – another product that I’ve already re-purchased. I always wear SPF daily with a minimum of SPF 30. It’s hard for a person of my skintone (NC40) to find a high SPF moisturiser that delivers, doesn’t make an ashy white cast to my face and is cost effective. Natio ticks all of these boxes. The scent is a little sharp – kind of like citrus / rosemary – but doesn’t bother me. It is rich and moisturises all day long.
Lush Oati-fix Cleanser – This is actually more of a cleansing scrub. Beautifully scented and you just know that it’s good for you, it was a lovely product. I won’t lie, it was a bit messy as you have to add water to the product and make a little paste before applying – and for that reason I probably won’t repurchase.
Lush Mint Julep Lip Scrub – This smells amazing!!! It has a chocolate mint flavour which is so delicious. The product is a sugar based lip scrub. It works well and definitely makes my lips nice and smooth. I didn’t use as much as I could have because I now have an amazing lip balm (also from Lush) that keeps my lips so smooth that I don’t have to scrub them. However, if I was in the market to buy another one – I’d repurchase.
Pureology Colour Fanatic Anti Fade Spray – This product does it all. It has 21 benefits, so you can use it for just about anything. I used it as a spray on wet hair before blowdrying to tame my flyaways and also as a heat protectant. It also prevents colour fade. It strengthens hair, prevents split ends, is a leave in conditioner, detangler, reduces static etc etc etc. It’s a great product and I will repurchase.
Pure Fiji Hydrating Body Lotion and Nourishing Exotic Oil in Mango – OMG these are amazing. My Mum bought them while on a trip to Fiji and they are so good! The oil is luxurious and the lotion is rich and moisturising. I will definitely purchase these and want to try some of the other fragrances. You can order these online too!
Dead Sea Premier Hand & Body Cream – this came as part of a hand and nail pack. The lotion is super rich and creamy and the smell was amaing. Having it in this tube made it easy to use and also to take around with you. I found that the cream stayed on my skin all day. I really liked it, but after the fiaso of the Dead Sea Brand in New Zealand and their shonky operating practises I won’t be repurchasing
Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream – someone bought this for my kids, but I ended up grabbing it one day and using it on me. I really liked it. It was lighter than the creams I usually slather myself in, but for the time of year that I used it, it was good. I probably wouldn’t repurchase, not because I didn’t like it, but because it was just OK and I like a more hydrating cream that lasts all day. I guess I’m not target market though right? lol.
Simple Kind to Skin Moisturising Facial Wash – I bought this on a whim from the supermarket. I was actually in a rush and thought I was buying a Skinfood product. Hey, they’re both green! It was a good everyday foaming facial wash. I mainly used this at the end of the day during my double cleanse routine. I’d remove my makeup with coconut oil and then go in for a second cleanse with this. It was nice and gentle on the skin and removed everything without drying my skin out. I’d repurchase.
Australis Primer – This is such a great day to day primer. It’s my second tube and I’ve already recommended to lots of friends because it’s such a good price. I even got mine as a free gift when I bought some other Australis products. I like this better than the Nivea After Shave Balm that is doing the rounds because it hydrates and then stays consistent during the day keeping oil at bay. Everything applies smoothly over the top. Will repurchase.
Sukin Cream Cleanser – Lovely and creamy, this product is all natural and cruelty free. Lightly fragranced I found it to be lovely, rich and smooth. I used this as my early morning cleanse and really enjoyed it. Sukin is a brand that is surprisingly cost effective. Will definitely repurchase.
Maybelline Eye Make Up Remover – This is a great day to day eye makeup remover. I find it cleanses better than Neutrogena and is a fraction of the price. This is about the fifth bottle I have purchased and I will purchase again.
That’s it for this round. I’m already stocking up for my next empties post 🙂
