It’s Sring, but I find myself leaning towards more warm tones and bronzes today rather than the stereotypical Spring colours. Yep, a little more earthy toned for me today.
I started out using my holy grail foundation at the moment, Lancome Teint Idole in shade 05. It’s my darkest foundation and Summer hasn’t hit so I’ll have to purchase a shade darker soon. I contoured using the bottom left shade from my Australis Contour Kit and also set my under eye concealer using the banana powder. I set the rest of my face using my Za 2 in 1 foundation powder (not pictured). For my blush I used a new purchase, Nyx Terracotta. It’s so lovely. Just the perfect touch of colour and dare I say, JLo glow? To finish off everything, I highlighted using my Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow. This has been re-released as part of the Bobbi Xmas collection, so check it out if you’re in the market for a gold highlight.
I used TheBalm Meet Matte Balm palette for my crease colours and brow bone highlight, mainly concentrating on the apricot colour and the warmer browns to add depth. This palette is a real staple for me. Then on the lid, I packed on Nyx Iced Mocha for that cooler toned bronze look (you can see in the pic that I’ve had to re-set this powder after it arrived shattered). Over all of this I used the Bobbi Brown shimmer shadow in Sunlight. On it’s own, it has no colour, just shimmer. After some initial disappoinment I realised you can use it for an nice overshadow, like I did today. It adds a little extra oomph, but truth be told, the oomph was pretty costly.
On my lips I have Jordana lipliner in Ruby Stone, paired with MAC Viva Glam 3. Viva Glam 3 is one of the most underrated of the Viva Glams, but it’s just gorgeous. Also, 100% of the sale of all Viva Glam products goes directly to Aids Research.
Here are some pics of my makeup today. They’re taken on my iPhone, in the kitchen at work so it’s not picking up the colours as much as I’d like – but you get the idea.
Have a nice day everyone
