It’s Friday – woohoo!!!! Hope you’re having a great day wherever you are.
Here are my makeup choices today along with a pic of it in action below.
I used the Collection primer, which is more of silicone based primer and good for filling in those pores. Over that I put LAGirl Pro Conceal in Nude – a bit more peachy toned than my usual concealer, but perfect for neutralising those dark circles. My foundation today is from Dr Lewinn’s. Tan is ironically more of a neutral shade on me ie. not yellow based or pink based, but right in the middle. If you have a bit of a pre-summer tan happening like I do, then something neutral can cancel out any colour your face may have. To counteract that I bronzed (rather than contoured) using my NYC bronzer in Metropolitan. It’s warm tones work really well with this foundation. I set my face using the ZA Cosmetics 2 in 1 powder foundation – fast becoming my favourite setting powder.
I’ve already covered off the bronzer I used. My blush today is a lovely pink tone from MAC. It is a mineralised blush which is one of my favourite formulas and the colour is Sweet Sentiment. It’s from their Heirloom Collection and while it was limited edition, there are plenty of other similar colours in their permanent range. My highlighter is Bronze Glow from Bobbi Brown, and again was a limited edition BUT it has been re-released for Xmas 2015. It is already available overseas and will make it’s way to NZ shortly.
My eye primer is from Lorac and it’s my favourite at the moment. Over this I used mainly MAC shadows. I applied Soft Brown all over the lid to set the primer. Sometimes you don’t need this step, but as I work in an office without air-conditioning and it’s humid today, I need to make sure these babies don’t crease. Brown Script went into the crease, Satin Taupe on the lid, then Sketch was applied to the crease and outer corners and smoked out under the eyes. Brow bone highlight was Champagne from Nyx Cosmetics.
Both lip products are from MAC. They are Oxblood Lipstick and Lipglass from the Toledo Collection earlier this year. While it is limited edition, there are so many peachy toned nudes that would work just as well.
Here’s a pic below. It was first thing and the light wasn’t the best, but you get the gist of it 🙂
