My skintone leans more neutral in the cooler months and is more warmer toned in summer – mainly due to my mixed heritage (I’m Afakasi). Because of that I can get away with wearing cooler tones as well as my usual warm toned looks.
For this look I went with my Lancome Teint Idole foundation and my favourite concealer of the moment, LAGirl Pro Conceal in Medium Beige. All were applied using a sponge for more of a natural dewy look. I set my foundation with Jordana Forever Flawless Powder in Light Honey. You can see I’ve hit pan on this one, so I obviously love it. It’s a powder that you can use to set foundation, but it doesn’t make it matte, so perfect if you want to remain dewy, but don’t want stuff slipping and sliding.
I bronzed/contoured with the LAGirl Blush palette in Spice. As an aside, this palette is amazing and I am getting lots of use out of it. For blusher I used a cool pink called Desert Rose from MAC. To highlight I used a new product as a base – the LAGirl Velvet Hi-Lite Contour Stick in Radiance. This gives a nice natural highlight, but I looove highlighters so added a powder one over the top – Laura Geller Gilded Honey. If you haven’t tried this, I highly recommend it. It’s amazing! I bought this at the same time as my friend Kirsty, who is a nordic blonde goddess, and it suits her too.
The iconic Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette came out to play today. I used the light chrome colour on the inner two third of my eyelids and then the cooler toned deep brown on the outer third. Such beautiful shimmers, pigmented and smooth to apply, this palette is a ‘must have’. Added to this, it’s so cheap! I got mine for $14 from a seller on Trademe. The only drawback is that it has no matte colours in it. No fear – out came my trusty MAC Brown Script to blend out the crease. My mascara is my Best Lash from Jordana.
I applied MAC Whirl matte lipstick and lipliner. Such a lovely combo. The lipstick pulls cooler on me, almost a medium greige with a bit of pink colour that I thought suited the rest of the colours I had on today.
Hope you enjoyed!
