It’s Monday and I am suffering from a bad case of Monday-itis.
I decided to mix my look up a little bit, but still use some tried and true products that I know will last the distance.
BTW I work in a lovely heritage building in downtown Auckland, that doesn’t have air conditioning. Yes, it’s pretty hard on the skin. When it’s warm, makeup just slides off and when it’s cooler, your skin dries out. So, all my products need to be able to last the day without drying my skin out or conversely, turning it into an oil slick.
Today, I started out with my Rimmel Stay Matte primer and then applied Revlon Colorstay Whipped. Currently my shade is 330, (it’s winter here at the moment – in summer I go to shade 400), and then applied my LA Girl concealer in Nude over the top. This concealer is one of my current favourites as it applies easily, with good coverage and then blends out into your foundation seamlessley.
I carved out my brows with the Anastasia Beverley Hills Dipbrow in Medium Brown and set with my Loreal Brow Artist Plumper. I think I need some threading or trimming because the brows were hard work today (don’t look too closely at them in my pic).
On my eyes, I primed with my Lorac Behind the Scenes primer (not pictured), then set with MAC Soft Brown, then applied my MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood on the lids. I blended out and deepened the crease with MAC Swiss Chocolate and then darkened up and smoked out under my eyes with MAC Embark.
On my cheeks I contoured with the Australis Contour kit, added MAC minseralised blush (LE) in Sweet Sentiment. My highlight of the day is Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow.
On my lips I have an oldie but goodie – MAC Viva Glam VI lipstick (lustre) and lipgloss.
Here’s a pic I took around mid morning.
Can I say, as my day approaches its end, that putting my makeup on turned out to be the highlight of my day …
