A weekend trip to the mall with the family meant I wanted to look put together, but not like I had cake face (for a change lol).
I started out with my trusty Australis Cosmetics primer – which has a hydrating gel-like consistency. It’s a great every day primer, that is low on the silicone scale, but keeps your make up lasting all day long.
For light coverage, I applied my Mac Face and Body Foundation in C3. It’s sheer and skin-like and with my dry winter skin at the moment, the moisturing effect of this foundation is perfect. However, because of my hyperpigmentation I need a little more coverage and that’s where my LA Girl Concealer in Nude comes in. It leans towards a peachy tone, so is perfect for my dark circles and it’s coverage on pigmentation is pretty good. I find that this concealer is nice to use under or over any foundation (some concealers can dry out, or are obviously different to your foundation as your makeup wears through the day).
I bronzed and contoured with NYC Bronzer Metropolitan, a warmer toned bronzer that I gravitate towards.
My blush is one of my holy grail – Mac Melba. Not much more than I can say about it other than – if you don’t have it, get it now. You won’t regret it and you’re welcome.
My highlighter is a new favourite, Laura Geller Gilded Honey. I know it’s doing the rounds on social media, but it’s for good reason. It’s a lovely highlight that suits many skin tones.
On my eyes I applied Colourpop eyeshadow in Selfie from the Shaanxo set on my crease and Mac Patina on the lids. Just enough colour to look natural 🙂
Jordana Best Lash and La Girl gel eyeliner in Bronze completed the eyes.
Brows were carved out with my ELF eyebrow kit and set with Jordana brow powder in Brunette.
On my lips I have Mac Oxblood lipstick and lipglass from the Ruben and Toledo collection. A lovely peachy toned nude that actually shows up on my lips.
Here’s a pic of the finished look. It’s pretty natural, including my wrinkles 😉
Hope you like it.
